The Battle in the Backyard
In February of 2024, I looked out the backdoor window and saw two white-tailed deer fighting in my backyard. It seemed late in the season for a rut, but there they were, antlers smashing and twisting.
One deer seemed to be larger with big six point antlers. The other deer and only had two smaller points of antlers.
The battle seemed intense, and the smaller deer eventually closed its eyes in pain.
Finally, the older deer emerged victorious while the younger one was gone. It was then noticed a few does in my backyard.
